Recruitment of Research Scholars

Applications in plain paper are invited from eligible candidates for the post of 1 (One) Junior Research Fellow under Govt. of India (GoI) funded Major Research Project of Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), Board of Research in Nuclear Sciences (BRNS)

 

The Department of Geology of Sister Nibedita Government General Degree College for Girls (SNGGDCG), Hastings House, Alipore, Kolkata – 700027 under the Department of Higher Education, Science & Technology, and Biotechnology, Government of West Bengal has received a DAE-BRNS, GoI funded Major Research project on Study of Isotopic Signatures to Assess Water Pollution in Mosabani Mining-Smelter Complex, Jharkhand”.

 

The project will be implemented in collaboration with Isotope Hydrology Division of Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC), Anushakti Nagar, Trombay.

 

The Principal Investigator (PI) of this project is Dr. S. Chakrabarti (Head, Department of Geology, SNGGDCG, Kolkata). The tenure of project is 3 years.

 

The selected candidate will be given a salary of Rs. 25,000.00 per month for 1st and 2nd Years, which would be enhanced to Rs. 28,000.00 per month in 3rd Year. In addition to Salary, the appointed staff will be paid House Rent Allowance (H.R.A.) and Medical Allowance (M.A.) as per PI’s institute/university rules.

 

Candidates with good M.Sc. (minimum 55% marks) in Environmental Science /Environmental Systems Management (Specialization: Water Pollution) Chemistry (Specialization: Inorganic/Physical/Analytical/Applied/Environmental Chemistry) or Physics (Specialization: Applied/Environmental Physics) or Geology (Specialization: Environmental Geology or Hydrogeology), Geography (Specialization: GIS and Remote Sensing, Environmental Pollution) from recognized universities may apply with relevant testimonials/credentials to the Principal Investigator Dr. S. Chakrabarti (Head, Department of Geology) within 4th August, 2018 (Saturday). Candidates with experience in relevant disciplines are preferable.
